September 1st - September 12th, 2021

September 8th - September 19th, 2021
All you have to do is sign up and dive, we'll take care of all the rest!

Scuba Diving in the Galapagos Islands is best known for it’s big and rare marine life.

The best diving and the best chances for big pelagic life like Whale Sharks, schooling Hammerheads, and more, can be found near some of the outer islands like Wolf Island, and Darwin Island which are accessible only via liveaboard boats.

Onshore tours during the diving cruise

There are two onshore tours on every diving cruise. We visit the Giant Tortoises in the highlands of Santa Cruz and we visit North Seymour Island where there are Blue-Footed Boobies, Frigate Birds, Land Iguanas, Marine Iguanas, and Sea Lions.

We will also see a lot from the boat and zodiacs as well, particularly in the Western Islands.

We have reserved the Tiburon Explorer, the newest, finest, and most modern Liveaboard in the world. Guests will be assigned staterooms with picture windows, luxurious quarters and will enjoy fine dining, a jacuzzi, and many other amenities while aboard.  We will enjoy 2-4 dives daily, nitrox, gorgeous views, and comfortable camaraderie.

Situated on the equator, about 500 nautical miles west of Ecuador, the 18 islands of the Galápagos were made famous by Charles Darwin and are unique in the world. Some of the best sea life that we will see are as follows:

• Whale shark

• Hammerhead sharks

• 30+ Shark Species

• Eels

• Manta Rays

• Dolphins

• Sea lions

• Turtles

• Marlin

• Large schools of fish

• Marine iguanas

• Frogfish

• Octopus

• Seahorses

• Nudibranchs

• and Penguins

We will fly into Quito, Ecuador. Quito is the capital of Ecuador and sits at an altitude of 9500’ between two mountain ranges in the Andes. It was constructed in the 1500s on the foundations of an ancient Incan city. The city is unique with massive 16th and 17th-century cathedrals, proximity to the impressive active volcano, Cotopaxi, and the city’s location on the equator.

We will spend 3 nights in Quito and have organized a guided tour of the city, and a day in the unique and amazing Mindo Cloud Forest, where we will see beautiful waterfalls, uniques birds, and enjoy the rush of zip lines!

We then fly to the Galápagos where we will be whisked away to the awaiting Tiburon Explorer.

The water temperature is 60-75F (16-24C).  While colder, the trade-off is the rich currents bringing nutrients into the islands, resulting in more abundant marine life.  We will be working with our guests prior to the trip to hone their skills and get comfortable in 7mm wetsuits or drysuits.

We will meet our guests at the Airport in Denver and will be with you as guides until we return 11 days later. Included in the price for the adventure (also see below): All flights, ground transfers, lodging and breakfast in Quito, city tour and Mindo Cloud Forest tour, Tiburon Explorer all lodging, all diving, nitrox, all meals, all soft and alcoholic drinks, tips for Tiburon, all taxes fees and licenses associated with Galápagos diving and more.
